Itinerary

Begin your journey with a morning departure from Fès, heading toward the alpine town of Ifrane, famously known as “the Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue to Azrou, where you’ll explore cedar forests and encounter wild Barbary macaque monkeys. After a scenic lunch stop in Midelt, drive through the dramatic Ziz Valley with its lush palm groves. Arrive in Merzouga in time for a stunning sunset camel ride across the Sahara dunes. Spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp, enjoying dinner and local music under the stars.

Wake early for a peaceful sunrise camel ride back to the village. Then visit Rissani, the historic home of Morocco’s last Alaouite dynasty. Pass through Erfoud, renowned for its fossil workshops. Journey onward to the impressive Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs create a breathtaking canyon. Continue along the scenic Dades Valley, dotted with ancient kasbahs and palm groves. Overnight accommodations will be in a guesthouse or hotel in the Dades region.

After breakfast, depart for the fragrant Valley of the Roses and the lush Skoura Oasis. Visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou, a striking mud-brick ksar that has starred in numerous films. Cross the scenic Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass through the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon or early evening, where your tour concludes.
