Depart early from Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Stop for photos along the way. Visit the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a striking fortified village famous for its film sets. Continue through the palm groves of Skoura and the Valley of Roses, then arrive in Dades Valley for dinner and overnight in a riad or hotel.
After breakfast, drive through Tinghir and the dramatic Todra Gorges, known for their towering cliffs and stunning landscapes. Continue to Merzouga, passing through the Ziz Valley with its endless palm oases. In the late afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sunset over the Sahara, enjoy traditional Berber music, and spend the night in a luxury desert camp under the stars.
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4, then visit the traditional market of Rissani (souks on specific days).
